Something odd happened at this year’s Academy Awards. My favorite look did not belong to a nominee, a presenter, or even an actress for that matter. I fell in love with a fashion journalist’s ensemble, or as you may recognize her, the beautiful Brit who ousted Olivia Palermo from her web hosting duties on MTV’s The City. Covering the red carpet for ABC, Louise Roe stunned in a structured Black Halo gown. Of course when it comes to Haute Americana only one fashion choice truly stuns: the Made in the USA label. Fortunately for the sake of this post, Louise’s dress was in fact made in the U.S., Los Angeles to be precise.
Launched in 2002, Black Halo has become an internationally renowned brand, yet it has managed to maintain its LA roots, a conscience decision by founders Laurel Berman and Sean Patison. In an effort to ensure that every garment meets the brand’s highest standard of quality, Black Halo plans to remain vertically integrated in Los Angeles with a factory in the Arts District and a showroom in LA’s Garment District.

I missed the awards this year, but that looks is stunning. Even more awesome that it’s American made! Nice job finding that out. Also wanted to tell you I love your new header/icon.
Thank you! I designed the header a while ago and am pumped it’s finally up! And don’t worry you didn’t miss much at the Oscars this year! haha.
