Bloom Theory

Destination wedding photographers Vania Barbieri Morris (left) and Christine Sandrock (right) have traveled the world in the pursuit of capturing the most important day of their clients’ lives. The ladies met while studying graphic design at the University of Alabama in Huntsville where they developed the idea for their joint venture, Simply Bloom Photography. Being fixtures on the wedding circuit, the ladies realized their formal wedding wear left something to be desired when it came to the black nylon camera straps they draped around their necks. After a year of careful planning and designing, the ladies unveiled Bloom Theory in May, a line of luxury camera accessories offset by sequins, bows and layers of tulle.
“The camera straps were born from within ourselves, a dream and an idea we simply had to put into palpable reality. We are inspired by products we would wear ourselves. Each strap is a reflection of either one of us or a combination of our styles,” Vania says.
Both Vania and Christine are transplants from Europe (Vania hails from Italy and Christine from Germany), where they are currently stationed until they reconvene in Perugia, Italy, to shoot a client’s wedding this month. All of their whimsical designs are produced in Hunstville, Alabama, the ladies current residence. View the entire collection here, and check out their breathtaking photography here.
Vania and Christine both use Canon 5d Mark II’s for professional use. Vania is currently using the Wild Flower strap (pictured right) and Christine’s camera is outfitted in Bohemian Belle (pictured left).
